When you feel like a burger and loaded fries but you also want the punchy flavours of Indian food, Burger Shurger is the restaurant for you. It’s a cool little place with lots of innovative fusion foods on the menu. Think butter chicken loaded fries, masala fish tacos and biryani arancini. Excited yet? You should be.
We started with some cocktails, I had the saffron martini which was nice and sweet.
For entrée we tried the biryani arancini. The biryani had beautiful caramelised onion throughout and then was crumbed and deep fried. A great idea but these are pretty big so you probably want to share one if you’re eating it as an entrée.
The chicken ribs and sweet and savoury and sticky and spicy. Delish.
The butter chicken loaded fries is a must. It satisfies your craving for butter chicken and fries in one hit and is all kinds on wonderful.
Why not pair your butter chicken loaded fries with the butter chicken burger and make it a combo? Love this burger – it had the right amount of flavour while still meeting all of your classic burger needs.
Fish tacos are awesome but spice them up with masala and you’ve got a winner. The fish was cooked perfectly and was crisp on the outside.
The chilli crab burger had a good amount of spice with a lightly battered crunchy soft shell crab and creamy slaw served on a charcoal bun.
The shurgernator is a beast of a burger with a chicken fillet and a beef burger, jalepenos, pickled veg, lettuce, tomato and three secret sauces, three! It was tasty.
For dessert we had the masala chai crème brulee which was creamy with those beautiful warm spice flavours that you can only get in an Indian masala chai.
