The fish & burger co is awesome because you can get amazing fish and chips and amazing burgers all at the same place, the name says it all. Then if you still can’t decide between the two, you can combine them and order a fish burger. If you want something sweet they also have super shakes and gelato for dessert. Either way everyone is happy and it’s a pretty big and bright space so you can bring the whole family.
We started with the nacho waffle fries. Yes that’s waffle fries covered in melted American cheddar with salsa, guac and sour cream and then we added the jalepenos for good measure. So good.
And we had some crispy fried chicken. They were a mix of wings and drumettes doused in yakitori sauce and topped with sesame seeds, spring onions and served with chilli mayo.
Then onto the burgers. We had the general which had beef, swiss cheese, bacon, pickles, onion, lettuce, tomato relish & garlic aioli. The beef was super tender and tasty which made all the difference.
The secret burger was what a big mac is supposed to look and taste like. It’s basically a big mac done right. It had 2 beef patties, 2 slices of cheese, a middle bun, lettuce, pickles, onion and secret sauce. It was tall, had cheese dripping down the sides and was absolutely delicious.
Next up was the squid burger. It had strips of crispy salt and pepper calamari which was delicious. It had a fresh Asian slaw with nuoc mam dressing, mint and coriander and a creamy chilli mayo.
Then we had some fish and chips. They have all the ‘fish and chips’ classics available, we went for the salmon, herbed chips and kale salad which was an awesome combo. The salmon flaked apart beautifully, the chips were crispy and the kale was dressed in a roasted sesame seed dressing with cucumber, onion & tomato.
The Nutella rocher was a chocolate shake with chocolate ice-cream, chopped hazelnuts, chocolate sauce, fairy floss, Nutella and choc wafers. Pretty epic.
For dessert they have a gelato bar. So in summer and anytime really this is the perfect way to end your meal. Loved the choc mint.
