Whenever brunch is mentioned I think about hills of smashed avo, melted pieces of fried haloumi, perfectly poached eggs, a cup of quality coffee etc. etc. Street talk espresso has all of that and more. You can pick one of their signature dishes or build your own breakfast with all of the sides. Either way you’ll be happy.

We started with the benedict the STE way which had poached eggs covered in smoked hollandaise with maple bacon on dr marty’s crumpets. If this wasn’t indulgent enough you can get a side of the potato rosti with a tomato relish which we definitely did and did not regret.

When you’re building your own breakfast you can start with a simple eggs on toast and add all of the sides you want e.g. roasted tomatoes, medley of mushrooms with fresh thyme, halloumi, you name it. We got the smashed avo which comes with halloumi and is topped with dukkah, seeds and herbs. And then we got the add-ons.

On our last visit a while back we had the Donald Trumpkin which is still on the menu (thank goodness) which has roasted field mushrooms, lots of smashed pumpkin, halloumi and a poached egg on some sourdough toast.

If you’ve got a bit of a sweettooth you will probably want to order the challah French toast. It’s cut in thick pieces with fresh fruits on top, mascarpone, tim tam crumb and whisky infused maple. A really lovely dessert to share.

I heart Street Talk Espresso!
