Pink the restaurant

Pink the restaurant is the talk of the town and it really is something to talk about. The whole space upstairs is coloured pink and the restaurant serves wholesome Italian food, has a range of pink cocktails and supports self-love. It’s a positive space and there are heaps of spots for great selfies. There’s even one particular mural where if you take a selfie and post it on insta, tag @liptember with the hashtag #frompinktoyou, the restaurant will donate $2 to Liptember which is a non-for-profit organisation that supports women’s mental health. Get there asap and get your pink on.

The beetroot coloured pink foccacia rosa was housemade bread with rosemary, pink Himalayan salt, & garlic infused olive oil. And what better way to eat it than next to a pink flower wall.

The little hippy pumpkin & sage ravioli, was tasty served with burnt butter sauce, shaved parmesan and crispy sage. Such a good flavour combo.

The rainbow superfood salad had gorgeous blue soba noodles. The colours were fabulous and it tasted good too. It had spinach, capsicum, sauerkraut, red onion, avocado, zucchini and pumpkin topped with pomegranate, hemp & pumpkin seeds. A bowl of healthy stuff.

Pizza was the main event and the ‘garden of vegan’ was delicious. The gluten free base was made of ground cauliflower and almond and it had a really lovely texture which was almost like a crisp bottom with a soft undercooked dough or frangipane. It was topped with tomato, spinach, brocollini, cherry tomatoes, chargrilled eggplant, roasted peppers, pumpkin, mushrooms, garlic. I was surprised at how good it tasted.

The antipasto pizza had a pink beetroot base that looked great. It had a tomato base with chargrilled roasted peppers, Kalamata olives, spinach, feta, mozzarella, rocket and basil pesto. Delish.

I loved the polenta jenga. They were super crunchy polenta chips served with a pink (beetroot) citrus aioli. These are a must.

For dessert we had the pink fondue which was a big pot of pink vegan chocolate served w strawberries, bananas, banana bread and marshmallows. This was a really fun dish to share, we were dipping the sides into the chocolate and it was delicious.

I heart Pink the restaurant!
