When you’re having a shop at Chadstone shopping centre there comes a time when you need to sit down for some refreshments and Le Mille Creperie is just the place you want to make your pitstop. If you haven’t heard of a crepe cake before it’s a stack of crepes layered with cream in between each layer to create a whole cake. A slice of crepe cake and a coffee is the exact combo you need to give you that second wind of shopping power.
The coffee was nice and served in these super cute pink high tea cups.
The savoury crepes are made of buckwheat and were thin and soft. We had the ham, cheese and egg one which had some chives sprinkled over the top. It was nice to start with a savoury crepe before we tucked into the cakes.
The truffled mushroom one was good too it was a buckwheat crepe with mushrooms, tasty cheese, truffle oil and some baby spinach.
The taro crepe cake was my favourite. I love taro and this was just all kinds of good. It had a layer of taro sponge at the bottom and then just the right ratio of cream and crepe in that taro flavour. Love love loved it.
We also tried the Rocher crepe cake which was fantastic. It had layers of chocolate and cream between the crepes with crushed hazelnuts on top. The crepe cakes are super light and have a really fun texture when you're eating it. Definitely worth a visit next time you’re at Chaddy.
