Sweetie and Moustache

There is no shortage of desserts at Sweetie and moustache. This dessert bar in the city has a large selection of sweets including crepe cakes, Hong Kong waffles, pavlova, chocolate fondant, ice-cream, French toast, you name it. It’s likely you’ll walk out of there with a sugar high and a smile on your face.

Sweetie and Moustache - Lemon meringue pie cocktail

We ordered a lemon meringue pie cocktail which was delish. I like lemon meringue pie and I like cocktails so this was a no brainer. The cocktail was lemony and tart and was topped with a mountain of toasted meringue which had that campfire toasted marshmallow flavour.

Sweetie and Moustache - Club sandwich

We thought it might be a good idea to eat some savoury food before we tuck into the sweet stuff so we had the club sandwich which was colourful and tasty.

We also had Moustache’s mix which was four cones of deep fried; there was deep fried mozzarella sticks, mini chicken kievs, fish fingers and fried squid with a side of fries.

Sweetie and Moustache - Ferrero fondant

Now we were ready for the sweetness. We had a Ferrero fondant which was like a chocolate fondant except that there was a surprise Ferrero rocher that rolls out with the oozy chocolate centre.

Next we had the Nutella Hong Kong waffles which were light fluffy waffle balls drizzled with Nutella and served with a ice-cream, fruit and a pot of custard.

Sweetie and Moustache - Oreo peanut butter crepe cake

We had a couple of their signature crepe cakes. They have a large selection with different flavours like lychee watermelon, choc tiramisu, vanilla caramel, coconut macadamia etc. We tried the Oreo peanut butter crepe cake which had crushed Oreo biscuits, peanut butter and whipped cream between many thin layers of crepe.

Sweetie and Moustache - Green tea and red bean crepe cake

The green tea crepe cake had a lovely flavour and a layer of red bean. It looked great with millions of layers (ok maybe not millions) of light crepes stacked on top of each other with cream in between.

We ended on the Nutella honey toast box which was epic. There were super thick pieces of toast hollowed out and stacked on top of one another to create the structure of the box. The middle of the toasts were buttered, cut into chunky cubes and drizzled with honey. Then there was strawberries, slices of banana, a big scoop of vanilla ice-cream and a pot of Nutella to drizzle on top. Loved it.

I heart Sweetie and Moustache!
