The say that bigger is better and I’m going to have to agree. Duke pizza have not only the biggest pizza I have ever seen but it's super delicious too. I love a novelty but not when it compromises on flavour so this was an absolute pleasure.The diameter of the giant pizza is 24” which equates to super massive and your eyes literally bulge out of your head when you open the 64cm pizza box. Love at first sight. The base and toppings were amazing and it was so much fun to eat.
They have normal sized 13" pizzas with cheeky flavours like 'piggy smalls’ which is all the piggy meats like ham, pork sausage, bacon etc, they have ‘magic fun-guy’ which is shrooms, porcini dust, parmesan and truffle oil and ‘grow a pair’ which is house made meatballs with tomato, mozzarella and parsley.
They have house and office party specials with a combination of pizza, drinks and salads or desserts. With the duke loves candy special they were selling crisps, chocolate and lollies which is awesome so you can get your snacks delivered too. No additional trip to the supermarket. Party sorted.
We tried ‘the pony special’ on our gigantic pizza which was amazing. The dough was delicious and the combo of thinly sliced potato, rosemary and garlic with cheesy mozzarella and fontina cheese was heavenly.
The dough is proofed for 48 hours which is what makes it so light and fluffy. And as for how many people it can feed, one slice did me fine so that one gigantaur pizza could potentially feed 10 people. It comes with some creamy dill dipping sauce which it good to dip your small or rather large crusts in.
Whether you get the regular or giant pizza, you’re in a for a good night.
