No doubt eating healthier was one of your goals for the new year but you love a good weekend brunch. I hear ya! Greenfields is a place that satisfies both of those needs. It’s a gorgeous light filled venue with big glass windows where you can lookout to the green yards outside. They also have a lovely outside decking area facing Albert Park with chairs outside and a bamboo woven swinging love seat. Greenfields are serving up healthy nourishing meals that taste amazing, so this way you can have your brunch and eat it too.
Greenfields – Sticky buckwheat
The sticky buckwheat cooked in almond milk was kinda of like porridge but a little drier with a chewy bite. It was good. Then there was the torched bananas which tasted bruleed, soft sweet honey black figs and a crunchy berry and cacao granola.
Greenfields – Green eggs and pumpernickel
The green eggs with pumpernickel was tasty. The scrambled eggs were a beautiful bright green colour with young spinach and pickled green tomato relish and the pumpernickel was heavily seeded and delicious. We had an addition of smoked salmon and lemon which was a good idea.
Greenfields – Cacao citizen chocolates
For dessert we had some Cacao Citizen chocolates which were raw, vegan dark chocolates made out of healthy stuff. They look like little Tim Tams but healthy, guilt free versions. We had an orange and fig one, and a pistachio one which were both delish. The perfect coffee accompaniment.
Greenfields – Brunch goals
It’s a great place to brunch before or after going for a scenic walk around Albert park lake. They also do functions and the space is just gorgeous. Eating healthy is even easier than you think when there are places like Greenfields.
