Three o’clock is around that time when you get a bit peckish and become in serious need of a pick-me-up treat. Something sweet perhaps? You just wish the flour market could be open every week to enjoy a range of the best baked goods with your afternoon cup of tea. Thankfully the flour market have created a popup called afternoon delight doing just that. The pop-up is open from 3pm-7pm every Thursday in the month of June exhibiting delicious baked goods on a rotating schedule. With the likes of lux bite, short stop, cobb lane, eat a scroll and vickiee yo, just to name a few, you know this Thursday rendezvous is a definite must.

It’s located on the Melbourne Central link bridge where Melbourne central and the emporium meet on level 2. They have a variety of stalls with lots of amazing bakes. But be warned, I went last week intending to just buy one afternoon sweet and came back with a box and more. There are so many good things in the one place, it's just like the flour market but a mini version. You get a white empty box to start with at the front of the line, then you go past all of the stalls and fill ‘er up.

And I can never get tired of the lolly bag cake from Luxbite. And they had tasting boards with lots of mini cakes. Perfect to share with your colleagues for afternoon tea.

And they had some savoury items too.

These are some of the stalls showcasing at last weeks market but each week they have different stalls. Make sure you get there early because like at the flour market, and as you can imagine they sell very quickly. And for payment they take card, which is convenient. I know what I’ll be doing at three o’clock tomorrow. Gonna grab some afternoon delight. It’s only open for the month of June so make the most of it.

I heart flour market's afternoon delight popup!
