The truffle Melbourne festival is on this weekend so you will be able to taste amazing truffle dishes and be inspired to whip up mouth-watering truffle dishes at home. Let’s face it truffles make everything a little bit better.

We had the privilege of trying a range of yummy truffle delights at the truffle Melbourne launch today made by the renowned Guy Grossi and his team.

This appetiser was tasty. Little rounds of chicken terrine on crostini with shaved truffle.

Bite shot. This little truffle chocolate ganache ball looked just like a truffle so cute. It was rich and chocolatey. Delish!

The truffle crème brulee was divine. Smooth, creamy and wonderful. The truffle added a nice touch.

Truffle Melbourne Festival 2015 - rollin out the pasta

Guy grossi made this amazing egg pasta which was made with lots o’ egg yolks. This batch of pasta was made with 52 egg yolks. Whoa! true story.

The fresh homemade pasta was cooked up with thinly sliced potato, sage, truffle and of course some shaved truffle on top. Looked amazing! I’ll definitely have to try to replicate this dish at home. That pasta….yum!

Turns out I have my own truffle pig at home, well he’s a truffle butter pig in this picture it seems.

I may have used the word truffle excessively in this post but it’s only to express my excitement for truffles. If you’re excited about truffles too then head to the truffle festival this weekend at Prahran market.
